Payments

Connect a payment provider so customers can pay.

Choose a provider

Derah supports four payment gateways. You only need one — pick whichever you already have an account with:

  • Hesabe— Kuwaiti gateway with KNET, Visa, and Mastercard.
  • MyFatoorah— GCC-wide gateway with KNET, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.
  • Tap Payments— modern Middle East platform with KNET, Visa, Mastercard, and Apple Pay.
  • UPayments— Kuwaiti fintech with KNET, Visa, Mastercard, and Samsung Pay.

All four support KNET, the most common payment method in Kuwait. If you don't have an account with any provider yet, any of them will work.

Connect it

Go to Settings → Online Payments, select your provider, paste your API keys from the provider's merchant dashboard, and click Save.

Use your provider's sandbox or test API keys first. This lets you verify the connection and run test orders without processing real money. Switch to production keys before going live.

Test a payment

While your store is still in test mode, open your testing link (from Settings → Store Visibility) and place a test order. Walk through the full checkout flow — the payment should process and appear in Sales → Payments.

If the payment fails, double-check your API keys. Most issues come from pasting the wrong key or mixing up test and production credentials.

Refunds

After going live, you can refund any paid order from the order detail page. Click Refund, and the money goes back through the original payment provider. Refunds typically complete within 3–7 business days depending on the provider and the customer's bank.

Derah does not support Cash on Delivery. All orders require online payment at checkout.

For detailed per-provider API key instructions, see Payment Providers.
