Products

Build your menu, set prices, and go live.

Create categories

Go to Catalog → Categoriesand add at least one. Categories organize your products into groups customers see on your storefront — for example “Hot Drinks”, “Sandwiches”, or “Desserts”.

Each category needs an English and Arabic name. The slug auto-generates from the English name (e.g. “hot-drinks”). You can reorder categories to control how they appear on the storefront.

Add your first product

Go to Catalog → All Products → Add Product and fill in:

  • Product Name(English + Arabic) — required.
  • Category— pick from the categories you just created. Required.
  • Description(English + Arabic) — optional. Shown on the storefront product page.
  • Image— optional. Square, under 2 MB, PNG/JPG/WebP recommended.
A product is just a concept — like “Latte” or “Chicken Wrap”. It has no price and no SKU. You'll set those on variants next.

Set up variants

Every product needs at least one variant. A variant is the thing customers actually buy: “Small Latte” at 1.250 KWD, “Large Latte” at 1.750 KWD.

Each variant has:

  • Variant name(English + Arabic) — e.g. “Small”, “Large”, “Iced”.
  • SKU— auto-generated. You can customize it if needed.
  • Price(KWD) — the selling price customers see.
  • Cost price(optional) — your cost per unit. Used for food cost and margin reports later.

If your product has no sizes or flavors, create a single “Default” variant with the product's price.

Add modifier groups (optional)

Go to Catalog → Modifiers → Add Modifier Group. A modifier group is a set of choices customers make at order time:

  • “Milk Type” with options: Whole, Oat, Almond.
  • “Extras” with options: Extra Shot, Whipped Cream.

For each group, configure:

  • Name (English + Arabic).
  • Selection type — Single (pick one, like milk type) or Multi (pick many, like toppings).
  • Required or optional— must the customer choose before adding to cart?

Then add options to the group. Each option has a name and a price adjustment— this is an amount added to the item's price, not a standalone price. For example, Oat Milk might add +0.200 KWD, while “No Sugar” adds 0.000.

Attach modifier groups to products on the product edit page. All variants of that product share the same modifier options.

Go live

Once you have products with prices, go to Settings → Store Settings → Store Visibility and flip the switch to make your store live. Your storefront is now public at your-slug.derahkw.com.

You can keep adding products after going live. Start with your top 10 sellers and expand from there. There's no need to have your full menu ready on day one.
